The barrel of the pens is much larger than most. In fact, the size is between a pen and a highlighter, making writing awkward. Also the tops don't fit, they came in a package without a hat. I wanted to teach this to someone, but definitely not newbies. Unfortunately I will have to send it back.

This is a wonderful, precise writing instrument. I recently read Dover Publications' Medieval Calligraphy (which I also recommend) and wanted to try my hand at creating a "Gothic square texture", a typical style of handwriting that existed in the 13th-15th centuries. This marker does a great job of recreating it: rich black ink, a flat chisel, and a choice of small or large widths all come in handy too, depending on what you want to write about. I would buy another one, works great.

Good price, fast delivery and delivery on time. Came without a cap on one of the tops. My only complaint is that this is not a real marker. The ink that comes out is very watery and bleeds quite a lot. I would call it a felt tip pen as the ink is more like a pen than a marker. Writes well on thick paper. Passed through thinner paper. Wouldn't write on glossy paper at all, the ink actually pooled and was 90 percent erased after 24 hours. I bought it to address envelopes and it's totally useless…

I have bought this pen several times to do calligraphy and just to write greetings in greeting cards. The double tips allow me to make different types of lines. It's great and the pen lasts for a reasonable amount of time. But the last two pens I ordered came with one or both caps in the box. How hard would it be to wrap this pen before throwing it in the envelope to prevent this from happening? I have sent both back and am ordering a different pen.
