Cheeks and chin are largely covered by the helmet

I ordered the XL for my son who is almost 10 years old. The circumference of his head was 22 inches but I figured out the size. Since the rest of his head is not as big as the top of his head, his cheeks and chin are mostly covered by the helmet. Since this child is growing fast, the size XL was optimal. right choice for us. First we had the helmet backwards and it looked really stupid. It took us a while to figure out that this was user error.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Exactly what I needed and I will come back when I need them.

Fits well. It's comfortable, but I bet the dipping color will knock my bald head out, so I use suede pieces glued to the inside to wick the sweat. I use them as protective linings in the helmets I make. They let hot air through easily. The foam rubber is quite dense, so there's a lot of protection. They cut very easily with a manual (non-electric) bread knife, but few other things can cut it with relative ease. This is exactly what I needed and will be back for more future concepts.

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Frequency

Great header for light/moderate contact

Header fits perfectly. Many headgear tend to fall backwards on impact, but this one has a lower jaw guard than most and a wider chin strap that allows you to exercise without moving the headgear and feeling like you're being smothered by the chin strap . Additional pads around the ears that do not interfere with hearing. Ideal for light/moderate head contact as it is made entirely of soft foam and has no face shield. If you plan to take a hard beating and kicking to the head, consider…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Not what you really want.

This headgear may be cheap, but it's not necessarily made for contact sports. The material is a plastic-rubber surface that just makes you sweat. Also, there's no cheek or chin protection, so if you get hit in the face you're not really protected. Don't do it like me, just try to get by with the cheapest option. Go get something better. I would recommend a full leather hat with a padded chin. That means the inside is leather and can be wiped clean (like that synthetic plastic material) and…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
