I'm sure there must be a trick, but I don't know. It leaked right away and I had to pour all the punch into the bowl. I don't give up because other buyers are lucky and I want this to work because it's a cool concept. I'll edit my post if I ever find a trick to prevent this from leaking. crossed fingers

I had fun serving smoothies from a watermelon tap. I would recommend a larger watermelon, just scoop out 2/3 of the watermelon and move the faucet closer to the center. In the picture, my faucet was low and pointing down, making it difficult to put a glass under it. The faucet worked perfectly, when you pressed the lightbulb, the smoothie flowed out normally. Fascinating time to do and use.

This is a hit! while it works fine. Seems to be strong. We made watermelon lemonade: cut the melon like a pumpkin, take everything out. Insert spout and legs. 6 cups water, 1 1/2 cups real lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar. Mix whole melon and watermelon juice with lemonade. Be sure to remove any seeds and puree well to avoid large chunks clogging the spout. Add ice and pour back into the melon.

I was blown away by how well this product worked. It was one of the cheapest items we considered, but we went for it. The ease of use was incredible. It didn't clog and had no performance issues. We haven't had any leakage problems. You can find several videos on YouTube on how to quickly puree a watermelon. We bought a second set - one for kids and one for "adult" drinks. worth $7!

Exceeded all expectations. I mashed the watermelon with an immersion blender, stuck a tap into the flat side of the melon, pricked the skin, and poured the cooked punch back into the watermelon. No leaks or drips, the faucet worked great and it's a very good deal for the price. I looked at the melon and named it Walter Melon, will be making Walter Melon for future picnics and parties, it was a huge hit.

It's so much fun! Used it for a deck party and everyone loved it. Tap does catch junk from time to time, but it's no big deal. The only small issue I had was with the racks. I tried folding them into a triangle to stabilize the melon but didn't center it properly. I had to unscrew them several times to rearrange them. However, this is more user error than product design. Maybe the more I use it, the easier it gets. Cute! I just found an excuse to throw more deck parties!

Bought to use on pumpkins for a Halloween party. It worked very well on one pumpkin, but on the other the nozzle kept slipping out causing it to leak. Not sure if it was because it was pumpkin instead of watermelon, but other than that it worked really well. I also had to line the squashes with gallon bags of liquid so it didn't taste like squash and the bags would seep into the squash. 5 stars because I think it would work better if it was a watermelon with no liner.

I was so excited when I saw these I had to order them for our family 4th of July BBQ. I ordered two, one for kids drinks and one for adults. I did everything the directions said to make sure everything was perfect, but when I poured the liquid into the watermelon rind it came out of the spout, although the spout was never squeezed. I squeezed and squeezed the spout to open it fully, then let go of the spout, hoping it would close, but no matter how hard I tried, the spout never closed fully. I…
