Works like a champ in ceiling lights

I had a light very similar to this one. I used 40 watt bulbs in it for many years. Unknown to me, it was only designed for 25 watts. I ended up messing up the damn thing. I found this light on Revain. It has eight sides while my original mount was round. Anyway, I had an electrician install it and put LED bulbs in it. Runs like a champion and looks very good. My original light fixture was installed when the house was built in 1984. I was amazed to find something so close to him. Raven is great!

  • great product
Cons
  • Something different

BEAUTIFUL LIGHT the best ceiling light

I needed something inexpensive and beautiful for the hallway. My electrician was about to do something else so I didn't go into too much detail when the old chandelier broke as long as it arrived on time (it did, thanks Revane). I was so surprised when I opened the box. and saw how beautiful it looks. The electrician installed it for me and it looks fantastic. very expensive looking for a very modest price. It has a very clean look that goes well with any interior. I am very happy with this…

Bad design leaves little choice for lamps

Bad design leaves little choice for lamps. I didn't notice the bulbs pointing straight down instead of horizontally. The 2.9" bulbs are too big. The only bulbs I can buy (thanks to the reviewer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BNSR4T8) are $18 per bulb (ie more than that). The lights look fine in our dressing room but we asked an electrician to hang them up and then discovered a bulb problem which I wouldn't have bought if I knew there were so many other options.

Dazzlingly beautiful

I don't usually like flush ceiling lights, but we have one in our lobby that we bought years ago and it's dazzling, warm and inviting. So when we went to replace the two recessed lights above, we saw them and didn't think they would be as good. You are even prettier! They are PERFECT for our upstairs room and give it a great vibe. We love that they are smaller than the ground because they are exactly what we need. We recommend it to anyone looking for a quality downlight. And the price was…

Nice shade at a reasonable price

I've searched everywhere for a flush mount lamp that doesn't look like a chest lamp. It does have a "nipple" connector that screws onto a stud to hold a shade, but the octagonal shape keeps it from being plain and ugly. Installation was fairly straightforward, although I would like to point out that there is a new type of wiring here labeled "minimum 90C" or something like that - sorry it's already in the ceiling and I don't remember to the exact wording, but I read online that this review…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
