I built a sliding lid test box but used a cheaper actuator I found on Amazon. It was a lot slower and a lot louder than that. After I was happy with the design and satisfied that it would work well for what I had in mind, I switched to this drive. Love it. This was a simple replacement for the 4 inch Sea Ray motor used for the windscreen vent on my 340 Sundancer. Works perfectly! The craftsmanship looks great. I still give it 5 stars but wish the electrical cords coming from the unit were placed differently. This only applies to my use case. In trying to solve my problem I actually used three different brands of Revain and ended up with Progressive. On my yacht, the two front windows were equipped with manual guides made of metal tubes with turning handles. So I had to physically push the latch handle forward to open the window and then, while holding it there, twist or screw the handle to hold it with friction.
