Fast charger!: Inverter

This charger is for 2 LiFEPO4 batteries in my caravan. It puts out 80 amps at 12 volts and charges my batteries very quickly.

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • Modern

Just received the charger

Received the charger today. I wanted to let anyone interested know that you need a 20 amp T-Blade outlet or 20 amp T-Blade adapter to connect the charger.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Functionality

product exactly as described.

I bought a new lithium battery for my 5th bike to replace the lead acid batteries so I need to replace the converter/charger to get the new battery working properly. Very easy to install and works great with a new battery.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Reliability

Converter/charger works great

I have 2 Renogy 170Ah Lithium batteries and am using a PD9180ALV to charge them. It's nice to see the PD9180 putting 80 amps into my batteries. The system does what it's supposed to and super fast loading which we'll add next time. Great product and a must for lithium batteries.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Compact and well made.

I bought this converter to replace my RV because I was converting to lithium iron phosphate batteries and needed the slightly higher voltage that these batteries require. The converter is more compact than the original and actually delivers more current. Tests have shown that it is fully capable of delivering a rated current of 80 amps. As long as it works properly.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Lots of things

Good fees and good customer service.

I've been using this converter for about a year and a half and it just broke down. I contacted Progressive Dynamic and they advised me to contact the seller, then the seller sent me back to Progressive Dynamic, it was a few emails but it ended up costing me 9.00 to get the converter back on Progressive Dynamic, and I'm new in less than 2 weeks.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Little repairability

False advertising. Do some research before you buy

What I received does not match what was advertised. The statistics are correct, but the PD9180ALV is advertised. I received PD9180AL. Presumably still a 12v 80amp lithium charger but not sure if it's an older model or what the difference is but it's not what is advertised. I hate it when salespeople are a little smart. could work the same way, but who knows? It appears to be the correct item, just a different model number and appearance than advertised. Upgrade to 5 Stars: Get a newer version…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Misleading specifications

I bought this unit for my RV after careful consideration that it would provide the fastest lithium battery charge within the capabilities of my Generac GP2200i generator. This charger has a rated input power of 1300w, my alternator can produce 1700w continuously. I found that this charger actually draws 1872 watts. My generator shuts down after about a minute due to overload. The Progressive Dynamics tech claims this is normal for the device and said it was "corrected" thrust. This is a very…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
