I bought this because my 50A plug didn't fit the 50A socket at the campsite, too where I always go They have a metal lid and my fork didn't fit in. This extension allows me to connect without removing the hinged metal cover.

This connector extends the cord so it is farther from the stand. However, I also bought it because the plug on my surge protector is recessed, making it difficult to unplug the cord. This extension simplifies the task. I find the connector a bit pricey but it works.

I needed a 50 amp extension plug for my generator outlet because the bend in the plug on my thick generator cord hit the power rail on my Westinghouse 9500 This part extended the Generator jack about 2 inches from the generator body so I could easily plug my 50 amp cord into the generator jack.

This is a great addition to my PI surge protector. This not only allows the device to hang vertically on the tripod, but also protects the plug on the surge protector from overheating due to a worn socket on the tripod. It's much easier to replace that power strip when it's overheated than replacing the 50A plug on a surge protector.

As advertised, this adapter works great where the RV park power pole has a raised edge that prevents the 50A surge protector from hanging vertically. The adapter retracts the surge protection plug from the RV charging station outlet by approximately 1 inch, removing the protruding edge on some RV charging stations. A small device does not take up much space in the mobile home. One of those items you don't need often, but when you do, it's a lifesaver if your 50A plug can't be fully inserted…
