05 VT750DC good for suspension

Wanted to change the springs in my Honda Shadow Spirit. They cost the same as OEM so why not upgrade. Gaskets and oil made at the same time. Doesn't matter. Removed the slack right away. The dive brake is very small and controlled. It feels like a brand new bike.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Running Speed

Fits most Honda Cruiser/Touring motorcycles

So happy I installed them on my 2010 Interstate. Although it was very difficult to test at first, they fit. Now the ride is much better. I found a site that showed parts of several models in exploded view and they all use the same OEM spring. So the heavy-duty aftermarket is a win. Really makes the ride better and more stable.

  • Satisfied so far

Just do it! You will not regret it.

Excellent product. I installed it on my 2002 Honda Shadow and it made a huge difference to the ride. It's not too stiff to affect the ride, but it's definitely noticeable, it feels a lot softer in the back. If you are replacing fork seals, this update is a must. I left the OEM pads without bothering with the included PVC pad as I had no intention of lowering the bike.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Quick start guide

HUGE improvement over stock springs,

Huge improvement over stock springs on my 2007 Honda Shadow Saber! Locking up the front brake allowed me to depress the front stock springs while rocking the bike. I can't do that now with the new progressive springs. They're as soft to ride as the stock, there's no stiffness over bumps, but they "sum" the spring rate when compressed. A MUST for tall people or bikers with lots of accessories!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can't remember

Best upgrade for the money

With these springs, my Shadow Saber 1100 rides like a completely different bike. The bike was stable and felt very confident cornering. The front was very stable on the Autobahn. I stopped being afraid of high speeds on the freeway because I was blown away. This appears to be partly due to the windshield being connected to the front fork. These springs only settled the front wheel and I had no problem driving at higher speeds on the freeway. The best money I've ever spent on my bike.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list will go on.

The best upgrade decision I've ever made!

I updated them along with new 444 series shocks for the rear of my 2000 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. Stability and handling have been incredibly improved. The bike seems significantly more stable than I could have imagined. I called Progressive Suspension's engineering department to check the load spacing and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful and considerate. Thank you Progressive Suspension for having such wonderfully helpful staff to help their customers.

Top Quality Suspension Upgrade -

The bike that these springs were fitted to did not need the springs because they were broken. Progressive makes a better product than motorcycle manufacturers. I always recommend this suspension upgrade to others and use it in all my cycles. If you install these springs and ride and hit a bump or cross uneven railroad tracks, the bike will handle better than a luxury car. They contribute to a smooth and direct ride. They really help when you need to stop quickly and the bike nose dives. The…

Repeat Buyer: Forks and Accessories

This is the fourth bike I've installed them on and I love them. Get more precise steering and less roll under braking. When measuring new pads, keep in mind that after the first 100 miles, these springs sag between 1/4" and 3/8". I measure the length of my fork with stock springs and then cut out spacers that make the forks 1/4 inch longer when new springs are installed. The springs will settle and you will return to standard length after 50-100 miles. If you want to lower the front end, don't…

5 stars for progressive fork springs.

I agree with all the other positive reviews. These feathers are perfect! your company. Progressive said their springs will be 15% stiffer than stock. I have a Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 '01. The springs are the same length as the original. I added Harley Screamin Eagle Heavy Fork Fluid. say 15 wt. Now a bike is like riding on a cloud. rulitsya well and smoothly! When you drive on paved roads, you feel bumps. These sources are nothing radical. for me this is exactly what i wanted. worth the money,
