Order additional sync tubes

Only 2 out of 4 sync tubes will fit as the other 2 were the wrong size. There were no instructions for damper placement, the only paper provided just said if the needle is off adjust the screw

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Wrinkled

They work but need calibration

One of the pressure gauges has not been calibrated properly. After figuring this out and replacing the gauge we were using (it's only two cylinders) it seems to be working fine. I guess I need to check the calibration of everyone. For the price I can't really complain.

Pros
  • To the extent satisfied

Worst order for mechanical testers

Worst mechanical gear I've ever bought, gauges never stay functional and we have to short circuit n plastic tees broke because they were pushing on the hose. I will never buy or recommend this product. Also, I have to waste my gas and time going back to the UPS store and waiting weeks for a refund. wow is all I can say

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • So far so good

Poor quality mechanical testers

I ordered this kit to synchronize my CB350F with 4 carburetors. The 2 gauges were not set in sync and no adjustment would have made a difference. In addition, the screw-in nipples are available in 2 different sizes, which does not make sense with a 4-way synchronization. You MUST purchase 2 more head tubes for this to work on a 4 carb bike. Spend your money on the best tool and save yourself the hassle.

It's unbelievably bad.

No matter how much I "calibrated" the sensors, none of the readings made any sense. Increase the vacuum 2 turns on the intake, no difference. Add another twist and the needle will dig in. Return it three turns to its original position and it won't be anywhere near where it was. Then when I tried to use a 4 gauge the needle twisted and broke in the gauge rendering the whole block unusable. It's not that I still rely on the readings of other needles.

Do not bring the hoses into contact with a hot engine!

I admit that it would be nice to have a case to store the instruments but I don't think the case is worth paying double for the set even though you get double the Price get the vacuum connections. The only downside to all these kits, even the one in the cases, is the quality of the hoses, the hoses in the kit aren't rubber, they're some sort of nylon hybrid that can't even handle the heat of the cylinders, let alone the one alone Exhaust. You need to make sure the hoses are insulated from…

Don't waste your money

When I first opened the package some of the sensors were just above zero. In the box was a piece of paper showing how to calibrate it, if that happened just turn the adjustment screw and sync it up. Cool, no big deal. Went to my bike, screwed two brass tubes into the hole on my intake. Came with only two brass tubes of each thread type so I could only sync my carbs two at a time. Well, nothing serious. Start the motorcycle, connect the sensors. None of the sensors can be used remotely. Three of

A piece of mechanical tester scrap

Where to start. So straight out of the box, none of the sensors are pointing to the same spot on the sensors. Second, the setting of pressure gauges. I was able to adjust one of the four, all the others were tightly closed. Third, the hose that comes with the kit is so cheap that without a brace it just snaps and doesn't work. Fourth, after hooking it up to my bike's vacuum ports and running. My bike was idling for maybe 10 seconds before the needles on the two sensors reached the end of their…
