It doesn't get any better for the price. Very durable; can be easily used with Alien Bees flashlights and large soft boxes; bought one at a local camera store when i could touch and feel it and the price was good; after about a week I bought another one from Revain.

Whilst not branded this is a premium quality stand. The legs have a wide enough conformable base to provide a good solid base. Good tube quality, durable. Easily adjustable but retains the settings you set. The main downside is that this stand is not as portable as other stands due to its luxurious quality.

All steel with a 1.5 inch base. It's big, durable, stable and very high quality. Any professional will be happy to have it in their studio. With an additional mini clamp, it easily supports the horizontal crossbar. I use a 5 foot piece of 1/2 inch electrical wire to hang my backdrops. Thing is quite heavy, which is an inevitable consequence of its strength and stability, so it couldn't be otherwise!

If you are looking for a lightweight stand then look no further. It's well built, durable and offers flexibility in terms of footprint. The extension is padded, and while I wouldn't do it if you let the light get out of control, I have no doubt the cushioning will prevent serious damage - and I won't do it on purpose either.
