Highly recommended for tripods and monopods

I read reviews online and researched other brands before making this purchase. I have to say I love this gimbal mount. It's lightweight and easy to use. I've taken it on several day trips with my Nikon D7200 and Nikkor 200-500mm lenses on a Monfoto carbon fiber tripod. I highly recommend this product. The photos I was able to take are wonderful.

Pros
  • Useful beyond intended use
Cons
  • Not automatic

I love the simplicity of Jr Katana

I love the simplicity of Jr Katana. I did my research and read reviews before purchasing and was a bit unsure when I made the purchase but so glad I did! It's very smooth and works great. I'm by no means a pro, but I love wildlife photography and I needed something that would fit the Tamron 600mm lens. That works great. Everything I needed was included. It was paired with a Gitzo GT0532.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • It's OK

Such a thoughtful design. Very satisfied

I am amazed at the quality and finish of this stabilizer. It will compete with 1k there. As soon as I got my hands on it, I understood and felt the accuracy of the assembly. It moves so smoothly and the grips hold up so well. When I'm locked my camera doesn't move. The camera is heavy, with a grip, two batteries and a long Sigma lens. When solved, the action is like flying through the air. I love this stabilizer and would recommend it to anyone who wants a thousand dollar gimbal but doesn't…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Wobble Wobble Wobble (long, muffled wobble when loaded within specs)

There are many good things to say: The outer (main) support frame is very rigid and nicely finished and designed. The finishes are great and the overall look is elegant. But the "bird swing" (an inner mount that pivots about a tilt axis and includes an Arca Swiss-type mount at the bottom) is too flimsy and unable to withstand and absorb torsional loads even at 1/4 of its maximum rated load. I placed about 12 pounds of hardware on the Arca rail and balanced it according to the instructions, then

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Easily repairable
