It is tactile, so much lessened danger of dropping than the slick aluminum cover. I have gone through three cases for my iPad Air. The first was and ideal that lasted a year but didn't look very attractive and the little pop out feet broke off. The second was a black rubberized TopCase one that showed every fingerprint and smudge on it and was always dirty, but it lasted a year and had good grip. I ordered this because I was searching for the same model as I had on my MacBook Air 11" for for 2 years. The Kuzy was as close as I could come based on photos as descriptions, but I was rather dubious. As soon as I opened up the box, I knew the Kuzy was nowhere near the quality of my old case. I ordered this case to replace an identical ORANGE case that I purchased several years ago when I first purchased my 11 inch Macbook Air. For the price, you can't go wrong. Even if this case cost twice as much, I would still recommend it. My laptop survived several drops with no damage to the laptop. The case cracked a little, but held together just fine. I finally had to buy a new case because one of the clips that keep it securely locked to the lid broke, and the case wouldn't stay on snugly.

I bought this case because I was just looking for scratch protection for my MacbookAir. If you're looking for more than that, then you'll have to go elsewhere. The little knobs on the bottom of the case have mostly come off and I've only had it for a couple days. Not rough with it at all, so I'm a bit surprised they're already worn out.
