The seller had to in indicate in the description that this device only supplies all USB ports with a total current of 6.0A. I was led to believe that there is a maximum of 2.4A. is delivered to each USB port (i.e. a total of 72W or 14.4A) when you are only getting 2.4A of power on two of the 6 USB ports, with all 6 USB ports loaded and it's possible. On the plus side was the fast delivery and the product was well packaged. I don't know if the overcurrent switch will trip, as another reviewer…

Extension cable with USB 5V/2.4Ax3

Very disappointed as it says USB 5V/2.4Ax3. The back of the device says USB 3.4A max, so it doesn't provide power for two 2.1A products (phone and tablet) like I needed. Now I have to look again for one that is 4.2A. To say it's 2.4A by 3 is very misleading and simply not true so I paid extra for this port compared to the one that says one port is 2.4A and the other two are are 1A. Nicely made and right size but fooled by wrong current capacity. Shelf life unknown.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

USB is not 5V/2.4Ax3 as advertised but will work on 220V

This is a nice and small power strip but USB sockets CANNOT be 3 x 2.4A or 6 A total process. I have received, tested and opened both the 5V 2.4A+1Ax2 and 5V/2.4Ax3 versions. They are exactly the same inside. Each USB port can supply 2.4A on its own, but if the total output current exceeds 4.8A, it will shut down completely due to overheating. It's not smart, ie. ALL ports drop to 0, so more than 2 devices cannot be charged at full power. Note that the voltage drops to about 4.7 volts at about…

One for home and one for work

My wife is a hairdresser and I installed it at her station. Sockets for clippers and heated towel rails, USB for phones and vapes. She loves it and everyone asked where it came from. At home we have a passage through the kitchen with breakfast bar. This is where mail and keys will be installed. In our home, that means phones, vapes, wireless headphones can land too. I installed an extension cord under the counter so we could charge it instead of running cords over the counter. Much better…
