Sturdy tool box with nice finishes and good hardware

Sturdy little tool box with solid hardware. The ending seems tough. Mine has a small defect that a corner of the top wasn't soldered on, so a slot instead of a corner. Regardless, the metal is strong enough not to weaken it.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Good Storage Box - Tool Organizer

This is a good storage box. It feels like a box from the past. I mean, this box is all metal and well built. This is similar to what you would find in your grandfather's old tool box. In an age where almost everything is made out of cheap plastic, that's refreshing. I think I will buy more.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some Trouble

Specification sheet dimensions are messy

Maximum depth of inside of box is 1 3/4 inches, not 2 inches as stated on specification sheet. This 1/4 inch size was key for me when storing a screwdriver. The measurements in the specs were sloppy at best. I will leave the box. I'm sure I'll find a use for it one day. This still leaves me with the problem of finding a screwdriver box.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Interval

For the price, it couldn't be better

You can't beat the price. Completely made of metal without plastic, including hinges. The sticker is the new logo (see picture). Only thing is the corners aren't welded (see my 3rd photo) they're still tight but technically I could bend the side panel by hand if I wanted to BUT the lid bites through all 4 side panels when closed is, so even with heavy tools they never bend or open. Ps, even with sticky tape, the barcode sticker on the top of the lid was difficult to remove.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

Good tool storage box: tool organizer

This is a good box for storing sockets. It arrived exactly as described. The red paint seems quite thick, but the steel is quite thick. A small hole is drilled in the lower part to allow moisture to escape. I had an annoying sticky paper label at the top that said #&&@! Clear. There was a small dent on the outside of the bottom, but it doesn't affect use. I believe this is a Stanley Proto J5299R box made in the USA. You must find this as an exercise as Revain won't let me link to it, sorry.

Pros
  • Convenient to use
Cons
  • old

That's right Epstein did NOT kill himself

I got this for about fifteen bucks and for the price it's not bad. As I said, the corners aren't welded or anything, but since they're actually made of strong sheet metal and not the heavy foil that's usual these days, I don't see that as a problem. Loading such a small box that can deform the walls requires serious effort. The construction is all metal, including latches and hinges. The clasp isn't very impressive, but it's quite adequate for a box of this size. I'm still not quite sure what…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
