Didn't work for my purposes.

I got this to sift my morning fruit smoothies to extract the seeds but it didn't work. Or should I say it works, but it takes all day. Okay, maybe not great, but the fact that the strainer tilts forward when what you're stressing is heavy, causing your stress to spill over to the counter or the sides of the bin because of the grip or tighten the sides of the sieve It's a disappointment I can do without. Seriously, aside from the water-diluted liquid, it would take a full day to strain anything…

Colander with good mesh but not perfect

This Proto Future Large 24cm Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Colander is made from a fine mesh, large enough to drain liquid but not too large . just enough for food particles to get stuck. Durable, dimensionally stable, won't rust, fine mesh screen

I have been brewing kombucha and needed a fine screen to filter out any particles that build up during the fermentation process. This mesh filter filters everything out and is very durable and easy to clean. Its size makes it fairly versatile for a variety of straining projects, but it still works great when I want to strain kombucha from bottle to glass. Well made mesh filter, high quality stainless steel + mesh - versatile, fine filter, good price.

I like the size and relatively flat shape of this screen and the fact that the mesh is really fine. It fits perfectly in my stainless steel bowl so it won't tip or shift whether I'm straining a little or the basket is almost full. 304 stainless steel is 18/8 grade making it rust and corrosion resistant. The last large screen I bought had a very strong mesh made from two different gauges of wire made from one strong mesh, but it is extremely difficult and time consuming to clean and discolours…
