Not just for Proxxon

Not a bad stone, the only reason I gave it this rating is because the seams on this stone are rather average, but if you're forming any types of profile cuts and V-threads need tools do the job well. I use it on my Flexcut tools.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Unfashionable

small but good tool

it's a bit bigger than a cigarette box but it's a good tool for woodworking tools that along with a good strap and a connection like a flexible cutting glide strap that's about like big like this, together you can keep your chisels very sharp, they take a little getting used to, but they work, I make some slings too, you can't have enough SP tools to sharpen your tool

Pros
  • tools and household goods
Cons
  • no automatic

Proxxon whetstone is great

The Proxxon carving tool saved my life using it to snip the ends of ash branches. I was concerned that threading might damage or at least dull the edges of various carving bits. I expect to use them on both soft and hardwood for several years. This stone, the Proxxon grindstone, meets my immediate needs. All of these tools have shapes that make flat stone difficult to work with. This stone has the right grit to resharpen the edge without filling the pores. I really enjoy it and will recommend…

Pros
  • Whetstones
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
