    Pretty neat for paracord

    My only complaint is that the fire cord makes it difficult to melt the ends since it doesn't turn into a pile of melted plastic. Simple enough, trim it shorter than the rest and melt the ends as you normally would. The cord is very good, good for making bracelets and other paracord projects. However, I haven't had a chance to test it for normal paracord use if anyone would even use this cord for security purposes.

    Great offer. for paracord

    The stuff is really cool, when it arrived it was neatly and nicely wrapped with velcro. I cut off about 6 inches and divided it into pieces. I couldn't break the line with my bare hands. In addition, the red tinder cord almost looks like a burning candle. It produces a flame the size of a standard Bic lighter and burns very slowly thanks to its waxy coating. It seems resistant to some wind but hasn't really gotten aggressive. Very strong.

    Good price!

    What annoyed me the most was that I ordered this particular brand because the photo says "7 triple braided polyester threads" so I thought 7 braided inner threads individually would be more useful than other similar inexpensive brands with TWISTED polyester inner threads that unravel when you try to use them for something. THEY ARE TURNED, NOT WEAVE. Good value for money though, but three because they weren't accurate in their presentation and therefore less versatile than I expected.

    The best paracord? May be.

    Most paracords are pretty much the same - you only buy to guarantee quality (usually about the same), price and maybe color. This paracord is high quality, cheap (medium?) and available in multiple colors. Plus it comes with a nice velcro strap - sold out right? But wait, that's not all! The paracord also has a waxed lighter cord, cotton thread, and a 10lb test cord in addition to the 7 standard paracord cords! Why not have these things?! I see no reason not to buy this cable.     Burned but redeemed?

    I was looking forward to this. It arrived damaged. I don't have time to return it but it disappointed me. Edit: It was burned in three places along its length, but I found enough unburned length to wrap my friend's Schrade knife handle, which looks pretty good for my second try. I can attest that the tinder strand just won't burn, but the rest melted neatly, just how I needed it. It wears but not as crazy as I expected, it didn't come undone and the wrap is nice and tight. It's good value for money, plus not only do they come with a fire cord, you get the added benefit of a cord (I doubt I'll use it, but it's nice to have) and a tinder cord. I bought them to lace up my boots. I ALWAYS have it with me in case of emergencies. I can use part of the line more for an alarm system or a trap than for fishing.     This is a covered paracord made of 7 strands nylon, 1 strand cotton, 1 wick and 1 braid. Each of these strands consists of 3 twisted strands except for the braided cord. True to size, I order 100ft and get 101ft. It has no metal thread, which is not a deal breaker. I wish it had 500 pounds of tensile strength, but again, that's not the deciding factor.
