I use this for perfect stitch width. Possibility of repositioning for wider or narrower seams or if your machine feeds slightly at an angle. It's not very thick, so you can leave it on after sewing the quilt and still sew the square diagonally without snagging! I actually bought an extra pack and use them as a guide for my vintage featherweights! 😃

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

Best Value in Quilting

I don't understand why this item is over $2.50 including printing and packaging. It's literally five strips of thick purple plastic with an adhesive backing. A stack of stickers will do the same. To make matters worse, the included instructions state that if you want a more durable and consistent method of attaching the sewing edge, you can spend an additional $10 on another cheap piece of plastic called the Corner Cut. It's just a plastic triangle with the corners cut off. For real? How about…

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Damaged

I love them, they are better quality than others.

It's hard to imagine life without it! Love them, they are better quality than others I've used and they stick well but can be taken off and put back on without a problem. They hold the sewing line better and I can often move them around to accommodate sewing allowances. As a quilter most projects are 1/4" but with other types of stitching the allowance can be 1/3" or 5/8" and I can move the guide with no problem and it sticks well and doesn't move. Profile that helps hold the sewing line…
