My son loves this life jacket! It is very easy to put on and the quality is definitely there! I don't regret buying it for him! He puts it on and can swim like he can already do it himself! It's breathtaking! We're always at a distance just in case, but he feels so independent in this jacket. I think this will help him learn to swim faster!

I LOVE this vest for my 30 lb 2 year old even though it's technically rated at 33-55 lbs. This allows his arms to float freely (unlike real puddle jumpers which children don't learn to swim easily/correctly) and it pushes him out of the water without squeezing his head/face. He loves wearing it! I also like that the zipper is on the back so he can't mess with it. I just wish there were more options for gender neutral templates - mainly non-girl whales :)

Vest keeps child's head out of the water but vest does not stay in place. Once in the water the vest rises and rests on the child's chin/jaw. The zipper on the back cuts into the back of the child's head. No real cut just pressing on the skin which caused my child to complain of discomfort. Otherwise it seems to work. We sent it back leaving only the life jacket we have for the boat which has a strap that goes over the legs and clips in the front that keep the life jacket on the child's…

And it doesn't have that annoying strap that goes through the legs like most lifejackets of this size because it zips up at the back and fastens with a belt at waist level.
