Although the blades were metal and looked sharp and strong, this egg slicer broke on the second use! The blades literally fell out.

I use it to cut eggs in a salad. So far, so good. I've washed it several times in the dishwasher (top shelf) with no problems.

Loved the idea of not having little wires that bend and break after so many uses. However, from three hard-boiled eggs, this cut came out with a medium blade.

I like that it's not wire but solid steel. So the wires don't wear out. They all fit together for easy storage. They are dishwasher safe. I really can't say anything negative about them. They meet all my needs. My last one broke within a few months. This one will last a long time, I can already say that.
