Appears to be a good filter, but the manufacturer should be ashamed of themselves

Pros: Easy to install, seems to filter water well (definitely better taste) Cons: The manufacturer should be ashamed of themselves for their blatant false advertising. I ordered the "stainless steel" version of the filter (which costs almost twice as much as the "grey" model). I'm happy to pay a surcharge for real stainless steel. First, I got a "chrome" model instead of stainless steel. But what really pissed me off is that it was actually plastic, like the "grey" model. I would like to give…

Not ideal for water filtration and water softening

There are better (and bulkier) products out there but in size and price if they remove half the dirt in my water that might be in it I will do it use it. I have purchased several polyurethane filters over the years. This is my fourth. For the first time since using this product, this recent purchase has given the water a foul fishy taste which I understand is due to the anionic resins in the filter releasing trimethylamine (foul fishy smell). To solve this problem, simply run more water through

I purchased this item in mid-August but decided to wait to write a review to give me some time to evaluate the product. It's February 1st and I've had it for 5 months now. I love this system, it's easy to install and I'm lucky that my faucet fits on the main adapter. So far I haven't had any problems with the system in 5 months. I haven't bought a single bottle of water since I received it. I just installed the third filter so I got 5 months off the previous two filters. I live in the Houston…
