🖌️ Purdy Brush and Roller Spinner Cleaning Tool, 1.5 and 1.75 Inches Review

Excellent. Replaced my old spinner with this one. I also ordered Werner, but Werner was scrap and broke on the first spin. I sent Werner back but left Purdy. Purdy was doing great.

All of these spinners are overpriced. This worked great for a year - maybe once every month and a half. Then it jammed and stopped spinning. Terrible quality. Purdy makes great brushes but terrible accessories.

I only use Purdy brushes and rollers. I can't believe I didn't know this tool existed until now! I wet my brushes and rollers before using them and let them pass. If I rinse them off after painting, they're much easier to clean. (I used to throw my scooters away after a single use - now it's worth cleaning and reusing.) Good quality tool - looks like it's built to last.

Purdy brush and roller cleaner was not as advertised! The description said it would fit 1-1/2 or 1-3/4 rolls but it doesn't! It only works on 1-1/2, no point in setting it up to work on a 1-3/4 reel! I found a way around this by putting a 1-1/2 on the end and a 1-3/4 reel on top to make it work! Hope this was helpful to someone else!

I agree with the recurring theme that this is great for rolls and really is all I was looking for. The brush clip, which looks more like some sort of medieval torture device, is practically useless. It's also odd that Purdy's support team can't answer how to lube when they clearly say to lube often. All I can think about is spraying WD-40 onto a rag and hand-coating while pumping. This thing dries rollers and brushes FAST and is a pleasure to turn. Love it. You can get 1 or 2 days drying for 1 minute rotation. I have all the Purdy brushes but it still takes some effort to get them working. I wish there was a second person to open their jaws as I insert the brush. I plan to grind the brushes harder so they go in easier. There are no problems with rollers - they are simply inserted. Both brushes and rollers are easy to remove. I saw Brian Santos demonstrate this tool at the Home & Garden Show. I love taking care of my Purdy brushes so I bought one. The thing really works. Just a few clicks and all the rinse water is drained from the brush. A few strokes with the comb brush and the brush is immediately reusable. I have not used it with a roll coat. Best Brush Cleaner. I bought this for my sister but I have a similar one that I've been using for about 30 years. Just get all the paint or buff as much of the brush as possible by rubbing or squeezing the bristles, then wet the brush completely with mineral spirits (a couple tablespoons per 2-inch brush), move the brush back and forth here. to pump mineral spirits into your heel with that spinner and then spit it all out.
