My cat can't help it

I wish I could say this food works because the food he's eating now (he doesn't need it as much as his brother) is $7 a pound. The food came on a Thursday and he vomited twice a day for 4 days. Finally, I gave him some of his brother's Royal Canin Rx. I think this food contains too much corn. Corn products are one of the human sources along with corn gluten. Cats are carnivores. We won't see them raiding corn fields in the middle of the night. The food is even ugly yellow! I ended up buying…

bad party? Great for a few months now throws up every time!

Our cat has been eating this food (7 lb bag) for almost a year. I always eat very quickly. In fact, adjustments had to be made to keep him from eating too quickly. A few weeks ago I decided to buy a £16 bag as the previous bags sold out quickly. Blue-a-rama! The color of the food in the 16 lb bag was lighter (more yellow) but I didn't care too much about that. Apparently this caused an incredible amount of vomiting. Some of the vomit even landed on the food plate, causing problems shortly after

Long read but worth it.

Already in December 2019, my Seal Pt. Crystals were found in Snowshoe Siams' bladder. Luckily we noticed that in time, the vet was very surprised how few there were and how quickly we realized that Jasper (Snowshoe) had problems. I work in an animal shelter (last 7 years) and see health issues that become serious if left unchecked so I am very vigilant when it comes to my personal animals. The vet originally prescribed Royal Cannin's urination formula ($45 for £7!) but suggested Jasper switch…

Great first bag, terrible second. bad party?

My cat loved it when I first bought it. She was having trouble urinating and that helped. She lost weight, got into healthy toilet habits, ate everything right away. The second batch came, but they didn't even come close. It was the only food I had so she ate it out of hunger. Then he started throwing up. Every time she ate it, she felt sick. I had to take her to the vet for dehydration and they couldn't figure out what was going on. Except that her gastrointestinal tract was upset and she…

  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons

This product really does what it says on the tin

Like many people who have purchased this product, my cat has started to show signs of bladder problems. Very frequent trips to the litter box (sometimes 5 or 6 times an hour), lingering in the litter box for a long time, and very small stains of urine. Sometimes I saw something like a tinge of blood in his urine. He didn't seem upset, but I wanted to forestall the problem. So I bought this and a urinary tract health supplement (UroMAXX Urinary Tract, Kidney & Bladder Formula). Having used both…

A blue bison almost killed my cat! Stick with Purina

My cat has been eating cheap meow mix for years and is trying to make it better. I bought him Blue Buffalo dry food and within a few months he had to have surgery to remove the crystals that had formed in his stomach, thousands of dollars in vet bills and several days at the vet hospital - that's what this decision cost me and him almost didn't die. After seeing all the other reviews saying the same thing I can't believe they are even allowed to sell Blue Buffalo cat food. The vet suggested…

ATTENTION: FORMULA CHANGED! CAUSES DIGESTION AND SKIN PROBLEMS!

Our 10 year old neutered cat was placed on this food in 2013 after a urinary tract obstruction nearly took his life. We were so glad we found quality food that could help him and he had no problem with it. Until 2019. It first started with inappropriate bowel movements on our beds, which we attributed to behavioral issues due to our extensive travels. Then he would throw up maybe once a week, okay, maybe hairballs or eating too fast. We added canned pumpkin and Miralax to his diet, which seemed

Pro plan was great cat food for our "big girl "

As our cat had 2 urinary tract infections within 6 months and couldn't get a urine sample at the next intake. On the second infestation, our cat was advised to switch from senior chow, inner chow, turkey and rice to an adult urinary formula. We told the vet we use Pro Plan and she confirmed it was good cat food. We added this new formula to her previous Pro Plan diet in increasing amounts for about two weeks. Our 19 lb cat (not fat, just a big girl) had no issues transitioning to Pro Plan…
