The filter comes with an o-ring for the cap. I recommend replacing it with a new filter. Use some oil to pre-grease the orange to keep it from rolling on you.

So far so good. Installed in my 14 year old durango sxt. Was skeptical about the size but it matches what I originally removed. I will keep using it when the quality is stable.

Contrary to the Revain ad "Does it fit?" which says this filter is a perfect match for my 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad 3.6 V-6. It was about $3 less than buying it locally and I didn't have to go out to get it.

I'm so tired of driving to the auto parts store only to find they're out of stock. Businesses are wondering why their sales are falling and why everyone is shopping online. Keep spare parts in stock. It's the same one I've bought in the past and shipping is free.

The filter was missing a small sealing ring that is placed on the end of the filter. I had to send it back but reused the o-ring from the old filter. I will not buy again. Large selection for about the same price. Just sloppy production. I wonder what else could be wrong with their product.

Update: When the first one was changed the deep red coating on the gasket migrated to the inside of the cap and filter housing. Washed with 91% alcohol, lubricated with fresh oil when installed. Don't build trust. Wix will be next after that.

I have used this PL36296 oil filter 4 times on my 2018 Wrangler JL 6. be quality. Most importantly, the fill grid appears to be as good if not better than the OEM part.
