Just received the item. The first thing I noticed was that the battery is only at 1.5. Not sure if it expires too fast or what. I'm taking off a star because the charger is very noisy. 20 feet away and I can't stand the noise. When the torque setting is set to 1, which was the default setting, the chuck jaws will not close when you hold the chuck sleeve and pull the trigger. I had to increase the torque to close it. I don't know if the above is problem or if it is normal. All my other drillβ¦
UPDATE: Well, literally three months after purchasing this drill, she died. I mean dead as bread. Nothing. Nada. I called customer service and they were very accommodating and sent a new drill so I didn't downgrade it to a star. But do you stop working after three months of intermittent work? I'm a cozy homeowner, not a builder. Obviously the quality has dropped considering my old Skil was over fifteen years old.
