Screen is annoying: car and vehicle electronics

Sounds like a good radio but I have it on my boat and during the day I can't see the screen at all and there is no setting to change the brightness

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • definitely bad product

Don't waste your money

I gave one star because no stars was not a choice. I received the first one dead on arrival, sent the second one back, I already had a paile radio with it by plugging in everything that needs to be plugged in. Didn't show power, I bought a more expensive Fusion radio and it works great the first time as it should. Don't buy this

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Something to remember

The remote works but feels like it was made very cheaply. If you want to connect this device and don't have an additional terminal to connect to, twist the yellow and red wires together with the 12v hot wire. Otherwise it will not turn on. I've made this mistake before. I don't give any product 5 stars because it means it can't be improved.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons

Nice little dashboard

Nice little dashboard. Pretty easy installation, but if you're not careful when inserting the device, it will completely slip and fall into the dashboard. GREAT SECURITY - nice little flashing graphic/city/EQ indicator at top of display, WILL NOT SWITCH OFF! EXTREMELY DISTRACTING WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. I called PYLE technical support and there is no way to disable this feature. MY solution was to use a piece of black tape to cover the top of the display which looks very sticky.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not the best

Great for what you get

This is an inexpensive stereo I installed in the fairing of my bike. After installing it on the bike, I decided to upgrade the stereo to a more recognizable brand. After installing a new stereo, I found that the "best" branded stereo was no better and had more options that weren't needed on my bike. better than a more expensive stereo (remember, this is a competition with a motorcycle and ambient noise) and easier to use while driving. And that for about 30% of the cost of another stereo…

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Some bugs

died INSTANTLY. Absolutely pathetic machine.

As soon as I connected the power, a puff of smoke came out of the case. I didn't even hear it. Oddly enough, the fuse that came in the block from the factory is still intact, has never blown. The stereo just killed itself. And before anyone says I don't know what I'm doing, this isn't exactly rocket science to build, and it's a far cry from my first car radio rodeo. I recommend ignoring the rave reviews and buying something else. Luckily I get my money back but now I have a big hole in my bike…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradable

Big performance for a $39 stereo or even $139!

The description says it's 75w x 4 but most companies lie. Plugged this into my 4 speaker system, turned it on and WOW this thing sounds amazing! True, I have super good 8 inch Kenwood speakers, but this thing still brings them out with amazing power. No amplifier required! Just make sure you have good speakers. The Kenwood KFC Marine series has worked great for me, as has the Sony, I'm thrilled. and bought two more for my other boat and my quad. You'll be able to hear it over the engines and…

  • This is amazing

Easy installation. Good sound!

Bought to replace my Sony marine radio which still worked but was old and had no bluetooth or aux inputs. First impressions out of the box were that it felt a little light and "cheap". I attribute this to newer technology with lighter components. Installation was easy, the wiring harness matched and the head was the right length. The existing hole required some modifications that could easily be done with a utility knife. The new mounting sleeve fitted perfectly and required no additional…
