NOT true 4 gauge wire!

This is NOT 4 AWG! There is an outside diameter allowing for the insulation, but no wires! This can lead to a dangerous situation. I returned the spool of wire and went to the site and bought real 4 gauge wire. Please see this and other reviews on this and avoid this wire if you need 4 gauge wire.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Many things

This is a decent solid copper, incorrectly referred to as .

This is a decent solid copper, incorrectly labeled as 4 AWG. It's actually 8 AWG wire with thick insulation. I wonder when someone will die from a car fire caused by a cable that doesn't withstand the advertised load balancer. It's a decent 8 AWG wire, though.

  • Only available in black

Fits Car Electronics Accessories

Quality seems to be as good as any. I used it as a ground wire when installing the amp and capacitor and had no problems with it. The case is more transparent than the promotional image, allowing more of the copper paint to show through. Just a note if you are going to use specific colors when installing.

Excellent OFC cabling. ain't no cheap CCA crap

Before everyone starts pounding on this cable, do a little research. This wire is true 4 AWG wiring. OFC cabling ALWAYS has fewer copper strands than CCA. Those who melted the sheathing of the electrical wiring. It was user error, not product error. Double your power and make sure the jacket isn't pinched before you write a bad review. I have used this wiring in several applications with no errors or problems. If you follow the right recommendations, you will succeed, and the wire will last a…

DO NOT BUY DANGEROUS COUNTERFEIT

Image shows approximate diameter. And compared to what it should look like. (Real cable on the right) The product is fake at best. I could tell I would have quality issues as soon as I picked up the reel as it weighs about half what it should. I'm furious that this list even exists. I had to read the reviews because it seems other users have already installed the cable with DANGEROUS AND DEATH RESULTS. Doing a reverse search for the part number of what I received, I found it listed as CCA…

Good price for 6 gauge wire

As others have repeatedly said insulated wire is not 4 gauge. I have an old 4 gauge reel but needed extra wire to add, not necessarily 4 gauge wire. This wire was just the right size for what I needed, but not 4 gauge wire. Why did I buy it when it was clearly described as not 4 gauge? Well, 25 ft. 6 is still more expensive than this product in regular stores. I gave 3 stars for the price; I took 2 b/c it's not 4 gauge as advertised. It is thicker than 8 gauge, although an 8 gauge compression…
