Not genuine #8 AWG as advertised. The measured wire is #10 AWG - I'm not wrong - it's #10 AWG wire! I have no idea how they get away with the advertised #8 rating. Pyramid ad aside, the cable isn't that size, it's ok and easy to power and work with.

As others have said if you look at it and measure it is about 10 AWG instead of the real 8 AWG. Also, it's not solid copper. It's copper-plated aluminum. I measure the resistance of the entire 100 foot coil and the resistance was significantly greater than what a 100 foot oxygen free copper wire should be.

is only 10 gauge but I knew it. My amps are only 200 watts and this cable can handle them with ease. It's quite flexible when it's not cold outside and the jacket is quite durable. I haven't had any corrosion issues and all my power cords are routed outside of my car.
