FRAUD. NOT OFC and NOT 8AWG.

This is a CCA cable and is much smaller. This ad was written to fool you. It says "OFC" (oxygen free copper) twice, but a light scratch on the wire will strip away the copper plating and reveal the shiny silver core material, which is clearly aluminum. I also measured it to make sure it was big enough for 8 AWG, it should be 0.1285 inch or 3.26mm in diameter and its diameter is much smaller than 2.75mm.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Fraud? Product does not match the description.

I was wrong not to read all the reviews. It's not 8 AWG wire at all. When it arrived everything looked fine. It was the thickness I expected, but when I stripped it I saw that the conductor had gotten much smaller. Maybe 12 gauge or something. Since the product is labeled as expected, it seems that whoever made the coil is misleading people. Also, I now see in other reviews that it is not copper as advertised, but copper clad aluminum (CCA).

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons

This is NOT 8 gauge as it is supposed to be - I didn't realize this until I connected the entire device to this ground - and then I connected my 8 gauge cable from another supplier and it was SIGNIFICANTLY different. It will take a lot of time to do all the work again. Who compensates this time if I cancel and send everything back? This seller needs to justify their customers - we're a STEM/STEAM organization dedicated to education and social innovation, and we do all our work for good - so who

Decent quality cable

This cable has a lot of haters in terms of the caliber of the actual cable. As far as I can tell, the cable itself is 8 gauge, or at least very close. I think the catch is that other higher quality cables are often thicker than advertised to stand out from the rest. This cable only meets the minimum specification for the caliber, so it may be smaller than others. For me it serves the purpose, has a good look and looks very high quality. The cable has a lot of strands and is therefore quite…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

VERY small for 8ga - looks like all the bad reviews were right

I foolishly ignored the bad reviews about this wire being too small. Partly because many reviewers thought they were getting solid wire, not stranded wire. When this stuff arrived it was pretty clear it was really small for 8ga cable. Luckily, Revain handled my return very well. I have since ordered: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NXCGJ2/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 What size do I prefer for car stereos/electrical wiring. This is not Prime but delivered very quickly. Very good

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Cons: 13 gauge wire with heavy insulation.

Electrical engineer here and I did the math: This product is 13 gauge copper wire (not 8 gauge as advertised). "Deceptive" is too easy in this case; "Scam" is the best term. Now for the details (we engineers love some details): Device Under Test ("DUT") methodology: - DUT length = 25,083 feet - 30 amps driven through the DUT - 1642 mV measured at the DUT with separately connected voltage sense wires directly to the IU. (i.e. no error due to current path, so real voltage across the DUT) So DUT…

  • One year trial
