Electrical engineer here and I did the math: This product is 13 gauge copper wire (not 8 gauge as advertised). "Deceptive" is too easy in this case; "Scam" is the best term. Now for the details (we engineers love some details): Device Under Test ("DUT") methodology: - DUT length = 25,083 feet - 30 amps driven through the DUT - 1642 mV measured at the DUT with separately connected voltage sense wires directly to the IU. (i.e. no error due to current path, so real voltage across the DUT) So DUT resistance = 54.7 mΩ. This way, the DUT resistance is 2.181 mΩ per foot. The product is advertised as gauge 8 oxygen-free copper, so the device under test should measure 628 mΩ per foot. This means that the tested device is 3.47 times worse than the advertised one (electrically).
