Perfect replacement in my speaker box. Good sound! Terminal polarity markings are difficult to see. I had to use a flashlight to see any markings. Need better polarity markers!

Used to replace an old Peavey Blue Marvel speaker on an old classic Peavey "Red Stripe" amplifier. I'm very glad I did, sounds better than the original speaker (Blue Marvel). Loud and clear, no more spending money on a proprietary speaker to replace your guitar amp, it does the job!

Speaker delivered quickly. The sound is normal, no problems. They replace worn out AVID™ speakers from the 1980s. These are not "subwoofers". Cheap speakers are like baseball umpires. If you do NOT notice them, that means they are doing their job properly. If you want BIG performance you're looking in the wrong place. Would buy again.

I bought these to replace two subwoofers that fell out of some used Boston Acoustic speakers. They look great and sound great. There is one caveat: it's only 10 inches in diameter and may not fit comparable speaker cabinets without modification. I used an external/open mount so I didn't have to worry about the speaker cutout. FWIW, I'm used to seeing replacement speakers that are smaller than advertised to allow for customization, but that's not the case here.

At $15.35 each, these speakers represent great value. Keep in mind that these are not high-end speakers or subwoofers as the name might suggest. I needed an inexpensive 10 inch speaker to replace a vintage radio I was renovating for a client. Space to mount smaller speakers for higher frequency response. I also needed a speaker efficient enough to use a tube transformer with a maximum 12W RMS output power. Modern permanent magnet type, I was very pleasantly surprised that this speaker met all my needs. I bought a repair kit for old grandfather MCS speakers (Technics/Panasonic) with damaged foam rubber around the edges. I originally planned on re-foaming the kit but these replacement parts were cheaper than the re-foam kit so I figured why not?
