🍮 Set of 4 Pyrex 6-Ounce Custard Cups (2-Pack) Review

I wanted to replace my original Pyrex Corning 6 oz custard cups. These are much heavier and have a similar shape. They are not made in the USA, but in Egypt. This is not real borosilicate glass, but soda-lime glass, supposedly heat-resistant.

This is not 'prepware' ie not borosilicate glass (true 'Pyrex') but 'reinforced' sodium lime glass. One year guarantee, they are made in Egypt! Disappointed but not sure if what I have always used is available anymore.

My set from ten years ago has been reduced to two. Some broke when falling from cabinet height onto pottery; others have retired or simply left exhausted. This new set is heavier and weighs 157 rams as opposed to the old set which weighed 104 grams. As you can see from the photo, these Pyrex mugs are made from Pyrex. And they are made in the USA. Satisfied, satisfied and at the age of 90 you probably don't have to buy anymore.

These little 6 oz. The Pyrex cups are just like the ones I grew up with. They are the perfect size for a scoop of ice cream, a portion of fruit, children's snacks or cooking ingredients. I chose this particular product because it came with two sets of 4 (8 cups total) and was cheaper than buying two separate sets. They were securely wrapped in bubble wrap and got to me in perfect condition. zero regrets. Highly recommended!
