We are glad we were able to find replacements for all of our lids. The gut itself is still strong. Although we have had Pyrex cookware for many years, I was disappointed that the lids became brittle, cracked and splintered over time.

Although unlike plastic lids, pyrex glass bowls will last forever without having to replace the entire kit including glass, they fit perfectly and will do their job for years before they have to be replaced again.

Unfortunately these lids wear out and break over time. These lids are a good product and seem to last longer than the lids that came new with the jars. I have bought them for the second time in these years and will probably buy them again in the future.

Although glass pyrex bowls last forever, not like plastic lids. Until recently it was difficult to find just the tops without replacing the entire kit including the glass. They fit perfectly and will give years of service before needing to be replaced again.

That's what I expected: new caps. The original covers are cracked; a likely consequence of entering and exiting the freezer. I can't say I have any other expectations for these lids, but I might try taking the containers out of the freezer to thaw the contents before opening the lid right away (hoping the lids are less prone to cracking are). .
