4.8-Quart (10” x 🍽️ 15”) Oblong Pyrex Basics Baking Dish Review

The box was four times the size of a glass pan. The cardboard was crumpled and re-taped on all sides. The glass jar was miraculously intact, but it had been a gift and the Pyrex label was not visible on it. It looked like I took it straight out of my closet or bought it of my own free will.

This is the perfect size for a double batch of brownies. (Yes, I use box mix). In my opinion they are too flimsy on the regular 9x13. I make a double batch in this party pan and it always works. I've also used this for cakes (doubled the recipe) and it's amazing.

Great product. Good durable glass. I've used this more times than I can count. An absolutely amazing dish. My son actually accidentally dropped it one afternoon as we were getting out of the car to go inside, it fell on the grass and everything was fine. I mean I was impressed!

Feeding my teens can be difficult, time consuming and expensive. I've found that when I get tired of those big Pyrex dishes, I can make my kids' favorite meals with less effort. Pork loin, mini potatoes and Brussels sprouts/broccoli/cauliflower make you happy and full. Dinner is now so easy I have several large plates!

This must be a fake Pyrex. After a few months of use (and too late to get my money back) I found that the bowl had been disassembled into many pieces when safely in the cupboard. The object was not touched, not hit, not dropped, and not touched at all. Found it in many pieces as it just self destructed. Read other negative reviews saying it exploded during use. Not sure, not Pyrex.

Bought as a present for my mother in law. Our family is growing and there are a lot of big boys with big appetites. It's time for a bigger pot. You can search the internet for recipes for 4 quart casseroles as most of them are written for a standard 13" x 9" Pyrex. We love Pyrex in general and were pleased to learn that they made the large size. Although this product didn't have Prime shipping, it arrived as planned by Christmas.
