If you plan to bake an oblong cake in it, you will not get a thick frosting. It's pretty flat and doesn't leave much room at the top to hide.

As the name suggests, it just didn't look like the image shown. It was a completely different model. The reason I brought him back was because he replaced a friend. What arrived was completely different and did not match what she had before or the picture shown.

I use Pyrex 3qt for many of the recipes I edit. Mine broke and had to be replaced. This can be baked, placed on the table, served from it, put the lid on and placed on the fridge, and the rest of the lid can easily be put in the microwave. This is an essential part in my kitchen.

I recently broke my closed casserole dish and wanted to replace it with the same one. I carefully searched for an identical replacement and thought this was it. Many others have built in glass handles which I do NOT need. The handles increase the overall length of the dishes, making them difficult to place in the refrigerator or dishwasher. The inner length is also slightly shorter.

So I got one of these about 12 years ago when we got married. I made the mistake of making a Thanksgiving and putting it on hot burners when I took it out of the oven. He fell down right away. Got one of their "new" ones with a red cap and the cap "fits" in the handles. I hated this thing from day one. It doesn't close and my fridge always smells of what's in it. I had to pay way more than I should have for this one but I threw away my red one and am fucking enjoying it!
