Dirty to use. suitable for kitchen utensils and gadgets

such as material, glass and size information. However, I am NOT happy with the mess that is left after trying to pour the contents into the container. Constantly flowing on the sides and dripping from below!

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • for old

Size font fades quickly

Red font fades after just a few washes in the dishwasher. The measuring cup is now completely useless for me. I need a measuring cup that doesn't require hand washing. Save your money by buying a more reliable brand. Even if it costs more, you don't have to replace it.

  • Quick change

Cracked in the first round in the dishwasher!

I have had Pyrex for decades. It broke off on the first run in the dishwasher. What the hell? My old ones still work. The ONLY reason I bought a new one is because the old ones have started to fade a bit on the underside (scratches from years of beating or is the dishwasher too hard for that?) and the painted lines have faded.

Buyers be careful with cups

I cook and bake a lot so this measuring cup has many uses. Despite saying "dishwasher safe" on it, after 8 months the red numbers started to fade and eventually disappeared. Then the cup was useless for measuring and was only suitable for melting chocolate or fats. They are dishwasher safe, but advice to the wise, if you want to keep the writing intact, hand wash these mugs. Pyrex should recommend you hand wash to preserve the writing.

Pros
  • Nicely built
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Cups Overpriced

My Pyrex Measuring Cup is an essential, used for making salad dressing as well as measuring everything. I bought a second one that I always have in the dishwasher. But why didn't I pay attention to the price? I paid about $11 for it and then saw my supermarket selling the same item for $4.99 plus tax. Yours probably too. I have to stop assuming that the prices are the best on this platform; If that was once true, the pendulum has now swung the other way.

Pyrex makes the kitchen run

Seriously the best liquid measuring cup you can get. My parents had one of these and it was abused for 30 years, washed in the dishwasher and used for all sorts of sloppy tasks like dispensing bleach and other chemicals. Eventually the red measurement imprint faded but the glass did not break off and it is still in use. This new version feels thicker and more durable than the old one and I can use it very easily without worrying about breakage. I expect it to last several decades, maybe longer…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Durable

Useless. All inscriptions were erased in a few years.

Completely useless in less than 4 years. It might sound like I'm joking, but notice the difference between my old 1970's Pirek on the left and this one on the right in my picture. The old one is broken but good. The one on the right is a newer Pyrex and all dimensions are already worn out. I have soft water and rarely use detergent in my dishwasher. Just don't make them the way they used to be. Apparently they use a cheaper type of glass and a cheaper type of pressure compared to the old Pyrex.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Worries me

Another American product goes south.

We ordered one of these at the end of December to replace one we had been using for years with worn red measuring lines. On this new one, those same red markings wear out after just over two months of normal light use. Obviously the label materials Pyrex uses won't last more than a few months in the dishwasher. Obviously a "measuring cup" that you can't measure anything with is useless. As in many cases we've seen over the years, a product that used to be excellent is now a bad one. I have no…

  • Exchange Availability

My mother's old pyrex measuring cup lasted many years longer than you might expect before the markings became illegible, most likely because that used to be the case so was engraved on the glass under painting. However, that's the only complaint I have. Other than that, it's the best measuring cup I've found, and other plastic cups, like OXO corner cups, wear out even faster with regular use and washing in the dishwasher. The biggest benefit of these Pyrex jars is that you don't have to worry…
