Excellent solution for hiding cables

I have a photo light on the portrait and I didn't want to see how the string was hanging underneath. I've looked at battery powered lighting fixtures, but didn't like the idea of constantly changing batteries. I bought two of these and put one behind the picture and the other at the bottom next to the socket. For professional results

Well built, functional and attractive, this plate was perfect for mounting behind my home theater wall mounted front speakers. The access board has a plastic holder on the back that I attached my cables to to keep them from accidentally sliding into the wall. I installed the second plate about 48 inches below the speaker at the level of the outlet. Good product, neat appearance - installation is not so easy due to the plastic box.

This part was quite hard to find and for me it served the perfect function: running an HDMI cable through the wall and locking it neatly. One comment I would like to make was that there is a plastic box behind the center piece that needs to be plugged into the wall. It was unexpected for me. So basically you need to cut drywall (about 2.5"/4") to create a hole for this box to fit in the wall so that the faceplate is flush with the wall. Bought this wall plate for a living room remodel to hide a new cable entry hole in the wall for a new wall mounted TV. Because of this, it offered a nice finished look. The reason this is not a five star product for me is that it is off-white in color rather than bright white. The color is a small issue but the big issue is the sleeve size.
