Useless Firewall for Desktops

This product claims to be an industrial gateway firewall, but it really isn't. The hardware feels flimsy, and the performance is laughable at best. The only positive aspect is the ease of installation, but it's not worth the frustration and disappointment in the end. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a real firewall that can actually protect your computers.

Excellent OPNSense firewall with ZFS, poor implementation of the 2.5 " SSD cable

This device works very well as an OPNSense firewall. I got one star for not allowing the cables for the optional 2.5" SSD to close the bottom panel. I had to purchase a SATA data/power extension cable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NURHUSU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to cover the bottom panel. This makes the bottom of the memory card "top" and the MSATA drive quite narrow. However, with the expander I have 2 disks in the ZFS mirror and the system works very well for

Ideal for computer and accessory firewall

Found in Revain Warehouse/Market. This is quite rare with these devices. A bit overpriced for what you get new IMHO but spot on with a 20-30% discount. I have an i5/8GB and a cheap 16GB "ssd" is enough for pfSense. Too much for my 150/50 LTE connection, even with multiple OpenVPN tunnels, Snort IDS and a caching proxy working with massive state tables, but I think I'm ready for the future. The 4x Gigabit Intel ports are great. 1 WAN, 1 Green Zone, 1 WiFi Mesh, 1 IOT/Red Zone. Could do this…
