I got tired of using it as a ring light around my Pi Camera on my 3D printer. The LEDs produced electrical noise and rainbow artifacts were visible on the camera's video output. Screening might work, but it wouldn't be a clean install.

Worked great for me, used it to clearly see prints on my 3D printer when I'm not at home. Printed the Thingiverse mount and was on its way. They've been running for over a month with no problems, and I mean continuously for 30 days or more! The only problem was that the glue was pretty weak, but I still wouldn't use it. food for thought. The halos look pretty good and are bright enough to be used as DRLs, but they are not very durable. I installed them about 9 months ago and recently noticed that a couple of LEDs have failed. In total I installed 4 rings in the headlights so they are fully waterproof, but still there are 4 burned out LEDs in one ring and 1 burned out LED in the other ring.

I bought this product to make fog lights for my truck, after testing both parts for a few seconds to see if they worked, they worked. Now I stick it in my fog lights and seal them to remind you that opening and sealing the headlights isn't always easy. Once I'm done, I turn on the light and they both light up for about 5 seconds and go out completely. I should have picked something better but at the same time you get what you pay for. They could be great, they look good on You Tube and the price is right. So far I have checked the claim of being 100% waterproof - it is NOT true. Maybe LED boards/rings can be waterproof. But the two solder wires are exposed at the solder joints, and the white connectors don't seem to hold water for long. I spilled water on the assembly and the clear plastic case immediately filled with water. This can work great - IF you fix the LED boards in the transparent housing with epoxy beforehand. I…

The video and photo DO NOT TRANSMIT how bright they really are. They light up my kitchen when the lights are off, which is what I look for in a good DYI Halo/Angel project. Super fast delivery! Very bright if you want to see a halo or angel eye. For the price and shipping it's worth it. There are also small clips on the inner ring that can hold the eyelet together with double-sided tape. The LEDs are pretty well placed! Tested with a 12 volt power supply and they light up like a Christmas tree!

Item came in a box in a bubble bag. The box was destroyed and there were no instructions, maps or anything to show that the app is required to use it. There is a QR code which then takes you to an app to use. It's all alien and not very user friendly. It took me a minute to understand everything, but I got it. Bought them a while ago but only installed them for a month. I did a full projector upgrade on my headlights and used them as Halo DRLs. About a month after installation, one of them doesn't work. To fix this I now have to completely disassemble both headlights again as I am planning to replace them with a quality product regardless of the cost. Considering the work and risk involved in taking headlights apart and now having to do it a second time, it really sucks. I should have known better…
