I can't believe you're wasting money on something then and they suck! If we put batteries in the lanterns, they shine with the sun all day! At night they light up for about 1/2 hour, then go out and never light up again! ! Needless to say I didn't like and dislike her. I wish I had wasted money on them

Pros
  • These rechargeable AA nickel cadmium batteries can be charged with solar panels or standard chargers
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others

Cannot be charged in charger

I've been using them for about a month. I have them in my solar lights outside. Some lights come on and others don't on a full sunny day. These solar lights are also brand new. I used two batteries indoors and decided to charge them because they were getting low, but now they won't charge. The lights on my charger don't come on. They seemed to charge and light up in my charger when I first opened the package.

Pros
  • Package Includes: 12 x AA 1.2V 600mah NiCad Batteries
Cons
  • Expensive

Solar Lite Batteries

My three solar "flower lanterns" needed new batteries. One was rusted (of the same brand) and I had to remove a lot of corrosion from the battery location. It didn't fit me, it was the original battery. I had to re-solder the wires to the board as they were broken. Replaced batteries in others and all headlights work like new again. Only gave 3 stars because the original battery that came with it corroded in the light.

Pros
  • Provides long battery life with a high capacity of 600mAh. Expected lifetime: 500 charge and discharge cycles. (about 2 years in solar caps)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for older people
