Significant performance increase for my Qnap TS-453be

I populated this adapter with two 2 Inland Premium 1TB m.2 NVMe drives installed in a Qnap TS-453be NAS (4 x 10TB, RAID5) and then connected to HiFiber SFP. DAC cable to a MikroTik CRS305 10GbE switch to multiple PCs in my electronics lab. The PCs were equipped with Mellanox Connectx-2 10GBe network adapters, each costing only $30. The QM2 adapter uses a four-lane PCIe Gen2 connection to connect to the NAS. The connection is theoretically capable of peak throughput of 2000 MB/s, but testingโ€ฆ

Two NVMe M.2 cards didn't fit in their sockets!

QNAP QM2-2S10G1TA SATA ($224): Two NVMe M.2 cards didn't fit in their slots! A Sabrent missile, an SP (Silicon Power). They fit and work great with ASUS Hyper M.2 PCIe cards (holds up to four M.2, I have several of these ASUS cards) and Dell 2 M.2 PCIe cards. Possibility!

Damages the data transmitted via the network port!

I encountered data corruption issues when using this card on a 10Gig network. I did some tests and found that the files get corrupted about 20-40% of the time. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10GB files, then transfer them and compare the sha256 totals before and after. I've found that every time even one of them has a different sha256 sum (and gets corrupted). I installed QXG-10G10. 10GB card and moved my entire network to it and everything works as it should (no harm). This is a relatively new product (PCIโ€ฆ

would bet on it. Works great on my PC with PCIe x4 slot, providing 10G network speed and access to two SATA NVME drives simultaneously. This is NOT RAID but it worked fine with my 2TB M.2 WD Blue NVME drives and network. I ended up uninstalling it as it was interfering with another PCIe device I was using for a SATA raid with an ASMedia ASM1061R (RAID) chipset, but that's only my problem when using two devices with the same chipsets that interfering with each other and not a problem with theโ€ฆ

I get 10 Gbps!

I get 10GB as described and two SATA cards work fine. It was an easy upgrade. I had to press the reset button on the back of the NAS after plugging it in because two other NICs were conflicting, but that fixed it and the NIC is now the primary NIC.
