Overkill for most projectors

The only thing I would change about this projector is the easier way to set it up. Perhaps a dial that you can turn to move in multiple axes before tightening a screw to hold it in place. Of course, you only have to do this once, but giving consent can be a little easier. But it's way more than I need. Thought I would buy a Sony projector but decided on a newer projector with a higher refresh rate to last until this becomes the standard for projectors. You don't need that for lighter…

Defective - Destroyed $3,000 4K Projector

The product sent to us was defective. I tried to install it on our new 4k projector. The hex screws are cheap metal and the tips of these sheared off trying to install them on our projector. Now they can't be removed, the projector can't be mounted and Revain won't take either because they can't be separated from each other. When I contacted QualGear, the customer service representative said that I am not eligible for support because I am "not a professional installer, this is a professional…

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Fragile

You will need an M4 or M6 hex key to properly tighten the screws that attach the projector to this bracket. It wasn't included in the package I received. Not sure if they don't include it anymore or if it's just a manufacturing/packaging issue as the plastic bag seems to have room for a wrench (S3706-4 in the photo) and the wrench section isn't open, but the wrench is not. And the installation instructions seem to indicate that it needs to be activated. Most people don't have this key at home…

Mostly perfect for mounting

This is a REALLY solid mount that I am currently using on the Optoma HD37 project (and hope to use it with the larger/new mount soon!). It took a bit of fiddling with the mounting arms to balance it properly, but once you get the hang of it you should be fine. Be careful not to lose the hex keys that come with the kit. Brackets as they are "safety keys" that have a hole in the center that aligns with a pin in the center of some of the bracket's set screws. I set it up a little differently than…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I had trouble finding a mount that works with the Epson 5030UB as the mounting screws are very far apart , but this mount was so versatile that I had no trouble adjusting the arms for a large projector. I particularly like the mounting bracket cover that hides the bracket attached to our wood joist ceiling. The tube was big enough to hide the power cord and HDMI cable. Adjustment options were good too, including fore-aft and side-to-side tilt. I bought additional pipes to make the drop almost…

Strong mount/basic mount for Epson 4010

I was looking for a low profile ceiling mount for my 26 lb Epson 4010 projector and many cheaper options. This product is very durable, with easy setup and clear instructions, it only took an hour to install. Best of all, it comes with a 4'x2' base plate that easily fits onto a wooden beam (which is a huge plus over installing a 4'x4' base plate). Only takes 2 solid screws that go into the joist. There is a paper template, it was convenient to mark and install the panel. With the base plate in…

Mostly Perfect: Brackets

This is a REALLY solid bracket that I'm currently using on the Optoma HD37 project (and hope to use it with a bigger/newer one soon !). Fiddle with the mounting arms to balance it properly, but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. with a mount as they are "protective" keys with a hole in the middle, which aligns with a pin in the middle of some of the bracket's adjustment screws.I set it up a little differently than I've seen elsewhere when I hung the projector in an alcove behind the…
