Do Not Recommend: Poor Quality

Based on my experience, this product had very poor quality. the keytag broke within a week of use, making it completely useless. The only positive aspect is that it was easy to INSTALL. However, given the high failure rate of the product I would not recommend it. .

Pros
  • Easy to replace and improve the functionality of your key remote.
Cons
  • The replacement blades require technical know-how to properly install them.

Inferior Anti-Theft Keytag - Don't waste money!

My analysis of this product showed that it is poorly made and ineffective at preventing theft. The keytag is flimsy and easily breakable, making it a poor replacement for a more durable version. While it may be affordable, it is not worth the risk of having your car stolen..

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Flimsy and ineffective

Great fit! I made a new key for $200.

Excellent fit! I had a new key for $200, the dealer didn't tell me until he gave me the key when I left that the physical key in the fob didn't come with the actual remote I just bought. It looked ridiculous without the hand wrench insert so I bought them and voila! You'll never know the difference. It will still cost me about $200 to cut the key to manually unlock and lock the BMW and start the car, but it looks a lot better and saves a ton of money ordering an uncut key from the dealer.

Pros
  • Fits: BMW remote controls that look exactly like the photo.
Cons
  • discontinued
