Qualtex Dyson DC14 Replacement Hose Review

I had the original Dyson hose for 13 years before the hose stopped pinching the turbine stair and furniture cleaner. I bought this to replace hose on DC 14 All Floors. It was identical in size and connection to the old hose, but different in color. I tried to upload nine photos to support this review but only two showed up in the gallery. I had no trouble connecting the new hose to the old connection points. If you've been using your old stretched hose for a while, this hose will come as a bit of a shock because it's stiff; because he is new. The hose fits the underside of the vacuum cleaner at the base but there was part of the hose on the extension that didn't snap. My original Dyson hose has two small ones black clips in a rubber grommet formerly connected to two other small clips on the inside of the handle on each side. This replacement hose does not have a rubber boot or clips, and the two clips on my car's inside handle do not make contact with the hose adapter to snap into place. Don't get me wrong, that's good. I originally gave it 4 stars because it seemed to work well with my full DC14 kit right away. All accessories fit and the hose was just as strong as the OEM at half the price. Then the accessory began to slide. It was quite a lot at first, but now a few weeks have passed and I'm losing suction. If you're reading this review, you're probably like me - you just couldn't bring yourself to shell out $55 for a replacement Dyson hose. This prompted you to look for non-OEM alternatives. Well, this is an acceptable substitute product. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about ordering the hose. Reviews were mixed.
