Very cool idea but of course when the shakers are full the tree/cactus is hidden so they are at their most attractive when almost empty!

We returned this as we expected better quality. The idea is cute and exciting, but these are little plastic containers. For the price we expected at least inferior glasses.

They are very small and made of plastic. The hole at the top also looks small so it may require some shaking to get the right amount. I honestly expected more than I got. They are still very cute and practical.

Don't let the idiosyncrasy fool you. They are as functional as they are cute. And the price! I would describe the salt dosage as a continuous flow, while McCormick's ground pepper requires more shaking. Both allow for generous seasoning, which I prefer.

Yes, they're plastic. Yes, they cost more than I'm willing to pay for salt and pepper shakers. But damn if they aren't the cutest. I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to New Mexico about 6 months ago, they are the perfect piece of my old home and my new home and I smile every time I see them on my stovetop :)

Bought this for my sister who has moved back to California. She lives in Clovis, California in the desert. I live in Georgia. I thought how cute for a salt and pepper shaker. Cactus for the desert and pine for Georgia. When I received them I was very disappointed. They look like they came from a dollar store. I couldn't give them to her so they just sit on my shelf over the sink.
