Super clear instructions for our high school graduate.

This book provides easy to follow instructions with lots of illustrations on the basics of quilt making. Our granddaughter will appreciate the information in the book. I've been quilting for 20 years now and I think this book is perfect for beginners.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Clarity

That's easy for a 70-year-old male novice.

I've never sewn a single stitch before this book, and now I'm going to sew a blanket. This book combines years of sewing experience into easy-to-understand visual and easy-to-understand written instructions. I find the quilting process almost meditative as I move along the learning curve. Put life's difficulties aside for a while and devote some time to making patchwork quilts.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Templates that don't fit Kindle Edition or are finished

Great book with good starter projects. The problem is that the templates that come with it don't match the size in the Kindle version and there is no description of the size it should be. So you have to go to incredible lengths to print out the template and then try to resize it. At the moment I'm working on holiday coasters. Patterns in the Kindle version don't have numbers in them, so I don't know how I'm going to do this project. Apparently no one thought of making a Kindle edition of this…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Back to quilting basics

I am new to quilting and use a sewing machine and I love how this book brings everything back to basics, from putting the needle on the machine. There are small patchwork projects that each teach you something important about quilting, such as: B. making a Christmas stocking or chessboard doilies. I truly believe I can get more out of a printed book than a Kindle, and the Kindle book didn't come with a DVD like the printed version. But I'm excited for everything I'm about to learn, and Quilting

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
