Once I learned this trick.

After I figured out how to use it, it worked great and saved me a bunch of bucks on rotary blades. It is important to complete the sharpening process before the blade becomes completely dull. Also if you cut your blade it won't work, that blade needs to be thrown away but when it comes to sharpening this thing works great! Next time I sharpen a blade I'll make a video and add it to my review.

Pros
  • Works with 45 and 28mm straight blades.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works great but only with some rotating blades

The rotary blade sharpener was easy to use and worked great - includes a small magnetic 'handle' for extra safety when working with blades, can hold 45mm and 28mm blades. NOTE: This only works with rotating blades with a triangle in the center - will NOT work with blades with a circle in the center. Added bonus - Quilting Bear was very quick - arrived earlier than expected even during COVID19 - THANK YOU!

Pros
  • Changing blades constantly is costly and time consuming.
Cons
  • Can't remember

Very inconvenient to use.

I found this sharpener awkward to use. It's not easy to twist/turn using the push method described in the manual. I found it starts well, but after a click or two it becomes very tight and difficult to turn when pushed. It's very difficult to coordinate holding the sharpener properly with the right grip to maintain control of the sharpener, but loose enough to allow for rotation. Sharpening is adequate, but a sharpened blade is a far cry from a new blade. Maybe it's because I had such a hardโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easily restore the blades to perfect working condition.
Cons
  • Socket required
