I used them on my front gate. Aside from my cow breaking the garland, the headlights were nice, the timer worked, a strand was removed. I don't recommend putting a string of lights on the lower gate rails; if you have cows! Yarn quality was typical.

Our house is very old and for some reason we don't have any outside sockets so we would never be able to put up Christmas lights. To be honest I was so happy to finally be able to hang a light for the first time since we bought our house! They're set on an automatic timer and I don't have to worry about turning them on or off. Edit: 2020-12-14: noticed insanely fast flickering/flashing lights, tried other lighting options and they all looked like strobe lights. Changed batteries, same problem, light stopped coming on by itself and was able to turn on once, just insane flickering, no speed or other light settings. Super light and yet durable! This year we had to put our Christmas tree in a place where there was no nearby socket. I bought them hoping to solve this problem! For the most part they worked great.
