Worth the money.: Sand

Works great, nice addition to my 15 gallon flex. If the sand doesn't come out, take something long, like tweezers, and move it up and down through the inlet to release the sand. They made it from a fairly durable material, overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Yearly trial
Cons
  • Long time

Pretty cool! Expensive

It may be expensive but it's worth it! Definitely attracts attention in my aquarium. Sturdy construction but there are sharp edges that may need to be filed off if your fish are clumsy. My air pump died after about a month. But I managed to replace it. BUY, BUY NOW

Handsome but rough and prone to underexploitation.

This is a working sand fall but the sand falls slowly. The sand inlet is just a hole in the pipe under the sand. This allows sand to be blown out over time. I added a reducer in line to create a venturi and now it works great. Adding a cheap plastic gear to the line from the factory would have earned this item 5 stars.

Worked in the sand for a week

I liked the customer feedback I got when it didn't work initially. They sent me another sandbag because they thought maybe there wasn't enough sand in it. It worked for about a week after I flooded it and then stopped. No matter what I do, it won't turn on and it's very frustrating. It looks cool and I didn't take it out of my tank but it sucks when people look at it. I have to explain that it used to be a waterfall that didn't work anymore.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not as good as written

Nice addition to my aquarium

My mother wanted a waterfall in the aquarium. At first I did not know how to do this, but then I found master classes. I'm handy with my hands but don't have the time and stumbled across this little thing. I wasn't sure but this is the only one I could find that was already built. I had to look up how to set it up, but it's pretty easy. The instructions that came with it weren't very clear to me. It was white sand but I think I will change it to brown sand sometime in the future. As you can see
