Rada Cutlery Cheese Knife Stainless Review

I have used Rada knives exclusively in my kitchen for over a decade. Having originally bought a bread knife, I put together a set of 15 knives, a HD peeler, a spreader and its little sharpener, and 8 steak/utility knives. Each piece is a pleasure to use and the aluminum pen set looks great on the magnetic strip above the counter. Thanks to the guys from the Rada. Americans make a great American product at great prices.

I love Rada cutlery. This is the third Rada cheese knife I've bought; This is not for me but for a gift. I have been buying cutlery from Rada for 20 years. I bought a cheese knife many years ago and still use it almost every day. The only thing about aluminum handles is that they have to be hand washed or they will lose their luster and turn dull grey. However, this does not affect the cutting quality of stainless steel blades.

It cuts through sharp cheddar or softer cheeses like Havarti with no problem. It doesn't work miracles, it just cuts cheese and cleans up easily with a brush and soapy water. (Nothing, not exactly rocket science). It's easier to use than a paring knife or other knives found in a regular kitchen. It is much easier to clean than most other knives. It's also easier to hold (feels nice in your hand) and easier to manipulate than smaller paring knives or a large chef's knife.

Love this knife but not for cheese. I really think this is a terrible cheese knife. I give it 5 stars because it's a wonderful and sharp fruit and vegetable knife. Cuts onions, citrus fruits, tomatoes etc very well. I would like an expensive set of knives but at around $10 this knife is a great find. I love this knife so much I have 3 of them and take one with me when I travel and even when I visit friends and I know I will be chopping vegetables.

We live near Rada's shop and my mother in law has this knife. I had to borrow it at a family party and I really liked it so I bought one. Sometimes I get burned with a Revain order and get counterfeit or poor quality products, but that's the real deal. It slices through the hard cheeses we like with ease, feels solid, the blade doesn't bend, and the handle fully covers the blade shank so there's no risk of it peeling off. I have had many cheese knives over the years and this one is undoubtedly better than almost all and they were all much more expensive. It's not the only cheese knife you'll ever need, but it's perfect for a cheese board. The blade itself seemed a bit too flexible for me but so far so good and it did a great job for Christmas. He will not be able to cut perfectly even slices on all cheeses. Tends to a slight angle on very hard cheeses, but not a big deal when choosing a cheese board that doesn't
